Paris Match Report · 572 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

It seem’s the Paris Match magazine is taking recent rumours of Vanessa & Johnny Depp’s possible marriage as fact and recently reported that Paradis was spotted at night without her “husband to be Johnny Depp” and was having dinner with M who is working with her on her upcoming album as well Audrey Tautou was dining with them.

However no exact date was given for the sighting.. My french is a bit rusty so here’s the exact qoute from the magazine itself.

“Vanessa Paradis qu’on n’a pas vu en boite de nuit depuis 2 ans a été aperçue – sans son futur mari Johnny Depp – en train de dîner en compagnie de M qui travaille sur son prochain album et Audrey Tautou”.

Marriage is in the air? · 577 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

Rumours are everywhere about a report that Johnny Depp will marry his long time lover Vanessa Paradis at a very private and secluded wedding in France in 2007, granted this rumour stems mostly from a media with an active imagination it may still be true.

Johnny and Vanessa have been dating for years now, since 1998 to be exact, and already have 2 young children togather, Lily Rose and Jack.

A source close to the couple was qouted on the “Daily Express” saying “Johnny and Vanessa are planning to finally get married next summer at their villa. It will be a private event rather than a showbiz extravaganza.”

In this month’s (September) issue of L’Officiel their is a nice photograph of Vanessa Paradis and Alysson. It’s quite the beautiful photo but what makes it REALLY interesting is when you look closely at the 2 models side by side it really brings out a strong resembelance in the forehead areas, my friends also believe their is a simularity in the chin region as well.. Personally I’m not so sure what do you think?

Another interesting note is the L’Officiel editors messed up big time and labeled the show the two models attended as the Dior show which was held around the same time but Vanessa never went to that show she was actually attending the Chanel fashion show when that particular photo was taken.

Jour J feature on Vanessa Paradis · 607 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

Today their was a very informative segment on Jour J (a french tv show) that throughly dove into how vannessa Paradis became a famous singer! To make it even more authentic Vanessa’s own uncle, Didier Pain, was interviewed and took a very active role in the show.

The show delved all the way back to 1984 when Vanessa made a featured appearence on “La Magie des surprises-parties” as well later in the year she appeared on Childrens Eurovision in Turin Italy, a city you may remember that just recently hosted the winter olympics!

Vanessa Paradis featured in French fashion magazine · 616 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

THE legendary Coco Chanel once said, “Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.”

How right she was. Elegance and style are always about a woman’s attitude and confidence, after all.

The French seem to be privy to this fashion truth. Most French women, from the corporate executive to the serveuse at the local café to the sales assistant in Galeries Lafayette, dress with glamour and that indefinable je ne sais quoi. In spite of different personal styles, French women possess a certain flair that’s emulated by women all around the globe.

What is it exactly that makes a French woman so chic, anyway? What makes Audrey Tatou and Vanessa Paradis, not to mention Brigitte Bardot, such style icons?

Well, I’d like to think it’s all due to a rather simple, although cultivated, approach to fashion. French women don’t always follow fickle fashion trends. Instead, they invest in good-quality staples that suit their personality. Then, they dress up these basics with more disposable trendy items.

The good news is, élan is not exclusive to those with Gallic bloodlines. Glamour and grace are, thankfully, not genetic traits. Yes, these can be learned and developed.

If you want to dress with as much style as Les Francaises, start off by knowing what’s right for your age and body type. You’ll never pull off a look unless you’re completely comfortable and confident. Next, dress according to your personality and never follow trends unless they suit you. Remember, clothes are not just a means to obtain glamour. They should also be used to highlight your assets and disguise flaws.

On a more practical (and très fun!) level, you can also dress like a chic French woman simply by borrowing some of their basics and mixing them with your own pieces. Items like a beret, tweed jacket à la Chanel with pearls, a striped sailor shirt, a Dior New Look-inspired skirt or dress and the ubiquitous scarf are all identified with French Fashion and can help inject some Gallic flavor into your wardrobe.

Take inspiration from these different looks that Inquirer Fashion and stylist Mela de Luna put together to help you achieve a bit of French Flair. Don’t be scared to experiment and create different combinations, as long as you’re comfortable.

And remember, wear your clothes. Not the other way around!

Starstyle interview · 624 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

Starstyle magazine sat down with Johnny Depp and asked him to name 7 sins he had commited, his relationship with Vanessa Paradis came in at #2 with Lust, read below for the exact qoute:

2) Lust
You have been together with singer/actress Vanessa Paradis for years now. How do you keep passion in you relationship?
“By realising that you are two individuals with you own life. It might seem that Vanessa shapes her life to mine, but she always kept doing her own things: acting, singing, writing. Sometimes she flies to France for a couple of weeks, while I’m filming. Par example, now she’s working on an album and I expect a lot of it: I wasn’t able to keep my eyes dry while I listened to it. My passion for Vanessa never grew less. She and the children freed me: and I have to say that my life actually started when I found out she was pregnant with Lily-Rose. Suddenly everything was clear to me, which direction I wanted to go with my life, and I never had to worry again about non-important things in life.”

Marie Claire · 633 days ago by Jimmy Smitts

The US editors at Marie Claire (a fashion magazine) had this to say about our favorite model:

“She’s a little edgy, a little underground, always self-styled. Even off camera.”

Thats not all if you have a copy of the September issue you can flip to page 58 and see a photo of her taken back at the 2004 Golden Globe award ceremony, on the same page they compare her to Kirsten Dunst, Chloe Sevigny, Michelle Williams, Sofia Coppola, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tara Subkoff and Zooey Deschanel.
